Northern Colorado FCA is partnering with clubs to lead every coach and athlete into a growing relationship with Jesus Christ and His church.
What is FCA Clubs
FCA Clubs have a significant role to play in fulfilling FCA’s vision. Through developing the skills and discipling the hearts of coaches and athletes, we can increase their influence and shape the way they lead through the sport they love. We invite you to be part of this process by taking the steps outlined in this playbook to move from frustrations often caused by club sports in your area to being part of transforming the environment through starting an FCA Club that serves every coach and athlete by helping them enter into a growing relationship with Jesus Christ and His Church.
Constants across all Club Stages and Levels of Play
- Coaches Huddle- This is built on our E3 principles with an effort to create Acts 2:42-46 communities that fully expect God to deliver on Acts 2:47 by adding to our number daily those being saved. Or coaches’ huddles focus on discipleship and the development of every coach, helping them to grow in their relationship with Jesus Christ and His Church and improve as a coach on and off the field. (Acts 2:42-46 communities are committed to God’s Word, Prayer, E3 partnership, Celebrating all that God is doing, and radical generosity with one another and beyond.)
- Parents Huddle- FCA Sports programs are committed to creating environments where parents can disciple one another, partnering with club leadership to start athletes out with a strong foundation and disciple them through their entire athletic career. Parents are our partners in ministry! Proverbs 22:6
- Athletes Huddle- FCA Sports programs work to help every coach and athlete live an integrated life of faith displayed by the Fruit of the Spirit, empowering them to engage and equip others on their campus, in their community, and throughout the rest of their lives. Matthew 4:19
FCA Core Values in Club Sports Programs
Integrity- We have set up systems and processes to manage all registration, payments and coaches qualifications in order to ensure player safety and a transparent environment that emphasizes clear communication with all constituents.
Serving- Our clubs exist to serve the families involved through providing a competitive environment focused on player discipleship and development. We exist to serve the athlete and not vice-versa. Our E3 training also empowers our athletes and, therefore, the club to serve their community.
Teamwork- FCA Sports exist as an integral part of FCA to increase the number of huddles, mobilized volunteers, and staff that are focused on making disciples that make disciples. Our Club programs will take an integrated ministry approach, equipping and empowering our athletes to become mobilized volunteers inside the club and throughout other FCA programs in order to take what they are being given and pass it on to others.
Excellence- We maintain an Acts 2:42-47 culture focused on God’s Word, Prayer, Fellowship, worship and generosity, trusting God to do amazing works and to add to our number those that are being saved. Everything we do inside and around FCA Clubs is done through the filter of how we would do it if God’s son were on our team or at our tryouts.
